Short-Term Disability

All eligible, full-time employees will receive Short Term Disability (STD) insurance offered through Lincoln Financial Group. STD insurance provides income replacement in the event you are disabled for longer than 8 days.

Benefits may be payable up to 13 weeks with appropriate documentation from your provider. STD benefits are equal to 60% of your weekly earnings, to a maximum of $1,000 per week.

The plan provides you with a benefit of 60% of your monthly earnings to a maximum of $5,000 per month. Should you or your dependents receive a benefit from Social Security due to your disability, the Social Security award will offset the benefit you receive from the LTD plan.

Long-Term Disability

All eligible, full-time employees will receive Long Term Disability (LTD) insurance offered through Lincoln Financial Group. LTD insurance provides income replacement in the event you are disabled for longer than 90 days. The premium is paid entirely by Breakthrough Charter Schools.
